The Company

Our client, Yamazaki Mazak, is a leading global manufacturing company based in Worcester. This is an excellent opportunity to work for a market leading Machine Tool manufacturer who have been at the forefront of the industry for many years.

Due to increased demand within the department, our client now has a requirement for a Service Desk Technician.

365 Resourcing is the preferred supplier to Mazak.

Joining the existing Technical Support Team the role will involve talking to field engineers over the phone to assist and resolve faulty issues on our range of machines.

This role will involve a good level of telephone support, data collection, analysis, information feedback and the ability to create reports for which full training will be given.

The fully trained candidate will:

  • Provide telephone support for servicing and installation engineers,
  • Provide any technical support to Admin staff & Team Lead for servicing.

The role will include: 

  • A full understanding of Mechanical and electrical manuals as finding parts numbers and to help identify parts is preferred for parts identification.
  • Create documentation, msdb & reports of machine faults for future reference after training.
  • Order warranty and PLM parts for customers and engineers after training.
  • A understanding of Machine Tools in general and make up of these machines is preferred but not essential.

This is a technically challenging role and would be suited to someone looking for a varied and interesting career where support and deadlines have to be met and continual training and learning is essential.

Candidates need to be focused with a good phone manner and a patient approach and the ability to work as part of a team.

Experience in a previous service engineer role or Maintenance role would be advantageous.

Computer literacy is required.

The successful candidate would be provided with all multi skilled training required.
