This is an excellent opportunity to work for a market leading Machine Tool manufacturer who have been at the forefront of the industry for many years.
Due to increased demand within the department, our client now has a requirement for a Laser Applications Engineer.

Introduction
We are currently recruiting for a Laser Applications Engineer to join UK Sales Support – Applications team.
The role is to provide the expertise required supporting customers, sales team, service and UK sales support
colleagues at all levels.
Job Description
- Communicate to a high standard to liaise with the Application Manger, sales team, customer and
suppliers. Identify level of detail required, time frame, budgets, etc. at the proposal stage. - Planning and preparing customer special cutting demonstrations.
- Detailed in depth laser NC control & laser CAM system demonstrations.
- Support in answering all telephone enquiries.
- Participate in all work carried out in the showroom.
- Planning of laser machine demonstrations showcasing the latest laser machine.
technologies, cutting strategies and partners / supplier technologies. - Planning and proving laser demonstrations for shows & running of shows (national &
international). - Support as required with providing laser training for customers (NC control, Programming software
& extended operator training. - Ability to manage, prioritise tasks and work within a team.
- Identify new technology, relating to the laser machines, options and local supply including
programming CAD/CAM, Automation, cutting technologies etc. - Visit customers as required to give technical assistance to Sales & Service.
- Deal with difficult situations in a professional manner. Uses own experience and initiative, to bring
to a successful conclusion.

Essential Criteria
- Broad CNC laser machining experience.
- Knowledge of laser technology and laser CAD/CAM systems.
- Experience of laser cutting conditions in varied material types & thicknesses.
- Strong problem-solving ability, working within a team and flexible approach to a varied workload.
- Desirable Criteria
- An engineering qualification to HNC/HND level desirable but not essential.
- Completed a Level 3 engineering apprenticeship.
- Experience with tube lasers & automation desirable but not essential.
